In Reception, the pupils learn within a new theme each half term:. In the Autumn Term, the themes are ‘Knowing Me, Knowing You,’ where the children get to know each other and what makes them special, followed by ‘Lights, Camera, Action,’ which focusses on performance. Within the Spring Term, Reception will learn about ’Turrets and Tiaras,’ which explores all about castles and who lived in them and then they will learn how to be an everyday hero within the theme,’ I Need a Hero.’ . Finally, within the Summer Term, pupils will become ‘Explorers,’ and journey through space and oceans before moving onto ‘In the Jungle,’ where they will learn all about rainforests and the animals that live within them.
