PTA

Green Ridge Primary Academy opened in 2017, and with it our PTA was formed. Since then the PTA Committee and it’s volunteers have organised Cinema Club events, Christmas Festive Fun with Santa’s Grotto, School Discos, Easter Bonnet Competitions, Summer Fetes and Fireworks Nights… not forgetting Ice Cream Friday!

As a PTA, our main role is to raise funds for the children of Green Ridge. We work closely with the school to decide what the priorities are for fund-raising… and with a growing school there are many! We’ve helped treat the whole school to experiences and treats from funds raised, such as pantomimes, as well as putting hundreds of books into the library.

We believe a vital role of a PTA is to help build a community within the school that’s more than just dropping off and picking up your children each day; it’s also about getting to know each other and enjoying events outside the school day.

What can you do?

All our PTA events are supported by Green Ridge parents and staff (not just the Committee!), giving us a fantastic PTA.

Green Ridge would love you to be part of that. ‘Support’ isn’t just being a PTA Rep and organising events (although we’d love your help) … it’s sending your child(ren) to events, donating a resource or service we need, submitting ideas, helping out at the Summer Fete or Fireworks Night, donating your old toys for the Festive Fun toy stall or buying the odd raffle ticket! You can even help raise funds while sitting on your sofa!

Second-Hand Uniform shop

We have our online Second-Hand Uniform shop at www.pta-events.co.uk/greenridgepta. Here you can purchase from a wide range of second-hand uniform, everything from jumpers to PE Kit.

If you are having a clear-out, please consider donating any unwanted uniform to the PTA. Simply drop your donations into the office or contact the PTA to arrange collection. Please note we are no longer able to take donations of school shirts.

Affiliate Schemes
The PTA also has several affiliate schemes, these are ways you can raise funds for the school from your sofa!

  • Easyfundraising – It couldn’t be easier. Whenever you shop online, switch energy providers or book a holiday, if you do so through easyfundraising.org.uk. The retailer gives a small percentage of what’s been spent back to us to say thank you for shopping with them, at no cost to you.
With over 4,400 online retailers involved including John Lewis, Amazon, Moonpig, Justeat, eBay, Booking.com, Now TV, Domino’s Pizza, Audible and Uswitch.
All you need to do is register and list Green Ridge Primary Academy PTA as your “Good Cause’. It’s quick and easy to set up, and most importantly free to join! And with the new donation reminder it has become even easier, once set up it will tell you every time you are on a qualifying website and with a click or tap will enable you to shop through Easyfundraising.
If you are a business owner, you can support Green Ridge Primary Academy PTA with your everyday business purchases?
Whether you’re buying pens or paper, ink and toner, computers or booking travel for you or your colleagues, you could raise vital funds for us, and at no extra cost for you.
  • Stamptastic – Let’s face it, the bane of our life is losing school jumpers! It is so important that all your child’s clothing is clearly named and Stamptastic is a fantastic way to do this… plus if you buy through our link or use the code HP180YA at checkout, the Green Ridge PTA receives a little donation. Win win!
  • Buckinghamshire Lottery – simply click here and buy a lottery ticket.  It’s as little as £1 per week and 50p from every ticket goes to us.  You could win up to £25,000!
  • Mynametags – Need another way to label? Yes, us too! Visit www.MyNameTags.com and use the School ID 104937 and we get a whopping 24% credited back to our school!
